My New Room

I’m super excited to show you guys what I’ve been working on throughout the summer.  I am blessed to have a new position this year.  I am now an Instructional coach.  I am really excited about this because I get the chance to work with teachers to help them with whatever their instructional needs may be.
So, while I do not have a classroom, I have a bookroom!  There are two instructional coaches at my school, so we share the room.  It’s a pretty large room that was filled with tons of books, things people didn’t want, and other items that were just thrown on in the room. We got to work on the room in July.  We had to reorganize lots of items, and boy did it take time! This is a look at what the room looked like before we got started on the makeover.

Here are some pictures of what the room looked like after we finished.  We are so happy that there is space to walk! The teachers love it too because they can come in and find what they are looking for in a breeze.  I am so happy we finished.

We finished our makeover with a celebration.  My buddy Latoya over at Flying into First gave us a wonderful idea to showcase our room.  We invited all the teachers in to “Books and Bagels” so they could tour the room learn about all the resources it has to offer. Thanks for the great idea Latoya!

Now that the room is finished we are ready for an awesome year of coaching!!

Back to School Revamp!

It's back to school time and I am excited to show you this revamped product.  After attending the TpT Conference in Las Vegas I was inspired to go back and recreate some things that I can't believe I'd made!

Back to school is one of my favorite times of the year.  New students, new families, and new goals.  Each year I try to give my kids something fun to do when they come in the first couple of days of school.  While they are working on it, it gives me time to take care of housekeeping things, talk to parents, and do anything else that happens to pop up during the first day!

I designed this packet last year, and I revamped it this year.  Take a look at the before and after! I am so happy I took the time to redo this because I think the kids will really love it now!

                                         This is the before product.

                                                    This is the after product!!

Currently August

OMG! Time really flies! August is here and school is in full swing here in Nashville.  Today I am linking up with Farley to talk about what’s currently going on in August.

I woke up this morning with so many things on my mind! I haven’t had a chance to cut anything except my computer on.  I keep telling myself I need to blog more and this seemed like a good start.

I am really loving my new position.  I am now an Instructional Coach.  I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with teachers.  I can’t wait to see what the year brings.

With my new position I have to think of ways to multitask.  I need to make time to blog, create products, and do all the other things that are required of me.

I am really excited to create some new products.  I revamped a couple of products and I really have a creativity bug right now.

With all the new things going on, I really feel like there is not enough time in the day!  I need a little rest so that I can rejuvenate.  I plan to take full advantage of weekends.

Finally, my back to school random act of kindness was creating teacher treats for the first day.  They each got a treat because they are so sweet and they always raise the bar.

I hope you enjoyed a quick glimpse into my August.  I can’t wait to read about yours!
