I just returned from an great weekend in French Lick, Indiana where I met some amazing teacher bloggers! We had a great time learning about new ways to keep things fresh and exciting. It was filled with lots of inspiration and fun. If you missed it, be sure to check it out next year. Holly, at Ms. Ehle's Kindergarten, did a great job!
I met some wonderful people. My roommates for the weekend were Latoya Reed with Flying Into First, Amanda Pauley at Mrs. Pauley's Kindergarten, CaseyJane Cooper at Wiggling Scholars, and Heidi Neels at Flipping for First. We wanted to give you guys some fresh ideas for the spring months in your classroom.
We've covered lots of skills throughout the year so one way I like to keep things fresh with my students is by reviewing skills. In the spring months we do a lot of this with games! My kids love learning about, and reviewing skills with fun!
We use Computers a lot because they really keep the kids engaged!
The kids love word matching games.
Bingo is another way we review words.
This games help us remember the important parts of a sentence. We use our sentences to make paragraphs.
This was a quick peek into what we do in the long spring months to keep things fun and engaging. Thanks much for stopping by!

I love using games in the classroom too! The students think its fun and don't even realizing they are learning. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we got to be roomies. This weekend was the best and I can't wait to do it again next year!

I find I need to review skills, routines, and rules too. I love the idea of using games to make it fun and engaging for students! I enjoyed getting to know you and share a room! I'm looking forward to next year already!
