Tell All Tuesday

Today I am linking up with Teach, Talk, Inspire and My Day In K for Tell All Tuesday.

Today I will share my Teacher Bucket List.
I focused on my first two main goals I hope to accomplish within the next year.

My first goal is to get my administrative licensure in the state of Tennessee. I'll be going into my tenth year of teaching. When I first started I had no intention of going into administration so my master' s degree is in elementary education instead of administration and supervision. As roles in schools begin to change, I hope to move into a leadership or administrative or leadership role in the next couple of years.

My next goal is to present at a conference. I have so many things that I'd like to share with other teachers that will help them throughout their teaching career. I hope to begin creating presentations that will help and inspire others.

What is on your teacher bucket list? Be sure to link up with Teach, Talk, Inspire and My Day in K to share your dreams. I can't wait to see what you guys have to say!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Five for Friday

Hi Friends!
                                            http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/2015/06/five-for-friday-linky-party-june-19th.html

Today I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday. After school got out I spent two weeks in a great workshop. This has been my first full week of summer vacation. I've had such a great time.

The first thing I did when I got of the workshop was hop on the road! I love road trips! I packed my bags and headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan.  It's about an 8 hour drive from Nashville.  Thankfully, we made it safely.

The second part of my week has been filled with adventure. Grand Rapids is such a beautiful city. I've been sightseeing since I got here. Here are some pictures I took.

The next thing we did this week was enjoy a nice dinner and adult beverage outside at a great restaurant. It was so relaxing and I enjoyed every minute.

The fun didn't stop there, we visited Dave and Buster and played some fun games with some cool kids in the family. They had an awesome time...and so did I!

Today we are going to enjoy some time near the lake. Michigan has many beautiful lakes. There are some great restaurants that sit right on the water.  Can't wait to spend some time enjoying the sights and the smell of the water.

What has your week been like?
I would love to hear all about it. Be sure to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share!

NashBash Blogger Meetup

This past weekend we celebrated the end of the school year by having a blogger meetup! Nashbash was an awesome, fun-filled event where teachers got together, socialized, networked, and had some plain old fun!!

I teamed up with some AWESOME bloggers to help create this event. These guys were seriously AWESOME!!

There were some great sponsors and some wonderful people who donated to our weekend.
There were so many awesome prizes. Here are all of the people who helped make the weekend a success.

We started the weekend off by attending the Nashville Sounds baseball game. They have a brand new stadium so it was so much fun to see everyone. The night was topped off by a great fireworks show.

The next day we had a great lunch and networking session. We used a placed called Atamalogy, which is a really cool coffee and meeting spot near downtown Nashville.
There were tons of giveaways and lots of food.  I put a small treat with a freebie from my store into the bags as well.  We had a great time!

Afterwards we all headed to the mall and ate Chuy's. I ate lunch with Latoya, Cierra, and Annie. We had a great time learning more about each other.

I was so tired after the mall! I slept really well that night.
the next day we all met up at the famous Monell's and enjoyed a wonderful southern breakfast.

The weekend was amazing! Ok had such a fun time meeting everyone. Hop on over to some of the other bloggers and link up to see how they spent their time in Nashville.

My Favorite Summer Things

Hi Friends!
Today I am linking up with The Teaching Trio for My Favorite Things!
Today I will focus on my favorite things to do in the summer.

1.  Sleep-  My one wish for the summer is that I can sleep in until at least 8 am. This seems crazy but I always wake up super early when I don't have to!  I am looking forward to sleeping in a little this summer.

2.  Outdoors- I absolutely love when it is warm outside so I am really looking forward to being outdoors.  I love hiking trails, water, and sun.  I can wait to enjoy the summer days!

3. Create- I really need to spend some time creating products for the new school year.  I have such a long list of things I want to do and the summer gives me time to do it!  I can't wait to get started.

What are some of your favorite summer things? Hop on over to The Teaching Trio and link up!!

Summer Learning!

So, my vacation hasn't officially started yet.  I have the pleasure of participating in a great two week  workshop this summer. I am really excited about what we will be learning. It is called SEE Math and it is sponsored by a grant through the Tennessee Department of Education and Lipscomb University. It focuses on number sense, geometry, and problem solving. I am really excited because I know my students are going to benefit from my experience here. I plan to blog about some of the activities we do. I am excited to share what I learn with you!

The first day was great! We got an iPad to use with our students. I can't wait to download apps and put them to use. I know my students will really enjoy using it too.

What are some iPad apps you use in your classroom? I want to come up with a list so I can start downloading!
